One-On-One Training
Congratulations on your decision to obtain a personal trainer. This can be a difficult decision but with Kerry as your personal trainer, she will keep you educated and motivated during your training together. The following is what you should expect from your session(s).
In your first session please expect to be 1 1/2 hours. To make this process run smoothly, if you could fill out the appropriate forms (available on this site) before you meet with her, this will get things moving faster. In the first session, you will sit down and discuss any medical issues that Kerry needs to be aware of when designing your training program. Fitness assessments will be performed to get a base line reading of your functional fitness.
This is an uncertain time for you, so the reasoning behind getting a base line reading, is so you can see where you started and how far you have come. You will then talk about what your goals are and how Kerry can help you reach those goals.
Based on all of the information you give, a well designed plan will be created to meet your needs.
In preceding sessions, every four to five weeks, Kerry will perform fitness assessments again. This is to see how much progress is being made. This is also where Kerry can get a clear understanding that the prescribed exercise program is going in the direction of your desired goals. You will also receive a new exercise prescription so that your body does not reach an undesirable plateau. At any time during your training you need to reach Kerry you will be able to call or e-mail and she will get back to you within 24 hours.
